1987 Stingray Maxim 222 SS,I am the second owner of this 1987 Stingray SVC Maxim 222 SS. Bought with 235 hours it now has a total of 370 hours on the 454 Magnum 360 HP Mercruiser. Although not needed I have replaced the battery wiring with upgraded gauge wire, high output alternator, custom made silent choice exhaust by CORSA hooked up to the original GIL transom tips, rebuilt the Rochester carb for a better loping idle and eliminated vapor lock, all new ignition wires, plugs, cap, rotor etc, new six pack of gauges in matching blue accent retaining the original VDO 4″ speedo and tach, new belt pulleys as the original ones showed slight rust spots, new stereo speakers. Two stainless props, one pitched for cruise and subsequent excellent fuel consumption, one for high end speed. GPS has shown 68 MPH. All gauges, switches, lights, bimini top, covers in working order and superb condition. Trailer is original but has new tires, new brakes, cleaned and maintained buddy bearings.
